Bowling Green State University

Aviation Studies at Bowling Green State University is a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Part 141 approved flight education and training program. Aviation studies majors choose from one of three specializations: Aviation Management and Operations, Aviation Engineering Technology, and Flight Technology and Operations - course work offers a combination of theory and hands-on experience complemented by a core of business and liberal arts classes that position you for success. Each specialization offers a combination of theory and hands-on practice, including cooperative education work experiences (co-ops). The faculty are leaders in using and teaching emerging technologies and practices in the field of aviation. The program is fully accredited by The Association of Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering (ATMAE). BGSU Aviation has one of the most modern and well maintained fleet in the region for your flight education needs. We currently have nine aircraft that are continually cared for by our own fleet maintenance department. Additionally, we understand how important it is to have modern equipment for our students to utilize. You won’t see any aircraft from the 1970s, 1980s, or 1990s here. The oldest aircraft in our fleet is a 2001 Cessna Skyhawk and BGSU Aviation currently has plans to begin replacing our fleet with newer equipment within the next couple of years.
