Piedmont Flight Training

Piedmont Flight Training has been in business since 1990 and is owned and operated by Triad Air, Inc. We offer professional flight training under FAA Part 141 as well as Part 61 rules from Private Pilot Certification through ATP including instrument and multi-engine ratings. Also available is advanced training for Commercial, CFI, CFII and MEI certificates. Train in multiple Cessna 172s, Piper Archers, Arrow and Piper Seneca. All equipment is IFR certified and includes Garmin GPS in the Pipers. A mix of instructors are available from the young eager CFIs to the more seasoned CFIs. Training at Smith Reynolds Airport in Winston Salem, NC is the optimal environment to maximize your efficiency. Class D airspace with control tower and no scheduled commercial flights allow students to do pattern work at their home field and not waste time on the taxiways or upon returning to the field. Practice areas are close by and easily defined. We offer competitive rates on equipment and instruction. Our doors are open 7 days and equipment and instruction is available 24 hours. Take all FAA knowledge tests with CATS at our facility. With the Part 141 training, veterans are able to use their GI Bill benefits.
