We are one of Montana’s only FAA approved 141 flight schools that provides both airplane and helicopter training. Northern Skies has been a flight school at the Laurel Airport since 1994 and has trained many pilots that have gone on to fly professionally as well as recreationally. We have experienced instructors to help you obtain your flying goals and a Designated Pilot Examiner on staff. We can provide training for all fixed wing ratings except multi engine and all helicopter ratings including turbine transition.Northern Skies is a very multi faceted company and is also a 135 on demand certificate holder providing passenger and cargo transportation all over the U.S.Employment opportunities after flight training are very possible.Many of our own students have stayed and become flight instructors who built time and later became charter captains in the 135 department.We also do many helicopter surveys and have two aircraft on fire fighting contracts, including one turbine 690 Commander.With the experience our pilots get working at Northern Skies, there´s nothing they can´t go on to do, whether it be airlines or corporate flying.
