Horizon Airways

Founded in 1994 Horizon Airways has a successful history of training students for their Recreational, Private and Commercial Pilot Licences plus Ratings and Endorsements. Pilot Training varies from beginner to Commercial Pilot including RPL, PPL, NVFR, Private IFR and CPL along with design features endorsements such as Constant Speed Propeller, Retractable undercarriage, multi-Engine ratings and more. Under new management since July 2021, the hangar/office has undergone a revamp with departure lounge, offices and upstairs classrooms. We also now conduct theory classes and stock a variety of headsets, books and charts for purchase. We have expanded our staff and fleet to 3 instructors and 6 aircraft. Charter is available with Pilots experienced in the Mackay, Whitsundays and throughout Central and North Queensland areas at affordable prices. Horizon Airways also offers Private Aircraft Hire.
