This 1981 Yakovlev Yak-52 (LY-HOT) is a beautifully preserved example of the legendary Soviet-built aerobatic and training aircraft. Currently based in Sion, Switzerland, this Yak-52 has been privately owned, hangared, and maintained to a high standard by Termikas, one of Europe’s most respected Yak specialists.
Featuring a rare flush-rivet fuselage, all Airworthiness Directives completed (including spar reinforcement and elevator shielding), and the removal of old heavy radios to reduce weight, this aircraft offers both authenticity and performance. A luggage compartment has been added for practicality—making it one of the more versatile examples available.
Powered by a robust Vedeneyev M14P 9-cylinder radial engine (overhauled in 2015, only 72 hours since overhaul) paired with a Whirlwind V530TA-D35 composite propeller (overhauled in 2019), the Yak delivers smooth power and that unmistakable radial sound.
Airworthiness is valid until July 2026, with hoses certified until January 2028. The cockpit features Becker 8.33 radio, Trig Mode-S transponder, and USB connection, with covers, tow bar, and two parachutes included.
